Day 3, Mae Hong Son - Pai,
200 km
Turns, culture and caves
After leaving Mae Hong Son, we will turn and head through rice plantations to the Chinese village of Baan Rak Thai, located on the border with Myanmar. Along the way, picturesque landscapes will open up to us, as if we found ourselves in medieval China: vast tea plantations among wild shrubs resembling a patchwork of brown and dark green tones, wooden tea houses adorned with Mandarin inscriptions, and closer to the village, a peaceful mirror lake appears before us.
Get a steaming cup of Chinese black tea and enjoy the tranquility.
On our way back, we will take a tour of the Tham Lod Cave - one of the most impressive in Thailand!
Closer to evening, we will appreciate the most picturesque stretch of our route with epic panoramic landscapes that could be mistaken for the set of "Jurassic Park." We will spend the evening in Pai, where the nightlife is buzzing.
